It's Time to Pray
I don't know about you, but I am grieved at the moral state of our country. Every now and then I feel defenseless when I turn on the television or log on to the Internet and read headlines that say something like: "Middle-School Students Expelled for Sex on Trip" or "California Supreme Court Rules Ban on Gay Marriage Unconstitutional."
Our country has moved so far away from God and godly principles, I fear He will soon give us what we deserve. Rest assured, we are going to reap unwanted consequences for our disobedience.
I pray every day but when I get like this, I drop to my knees and call on Him out of desperation. I ask God to first forgive me. Then I pray for our country, our leaders and our enemies. I ask God to destroy the works of the enemy and to save "whosoever" will come to Him, repent and receive Jesus.
We believers are not defenseless against Satan and his attacks. As bad as things are, we are not hopeless. We can go to God in prayer and literally change the course of this nation.
But let's not wait. Let's pray together, corporately right here on Spiritledwoman.com. As a result of the Internet, we can reach heaven on behalf of the millions of people who don't know Jesus. Log on to the site every day this week and post your prayer.
Second Chronicles 7:14 says: "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land" (NKJV).
If we join together in His name, we can make a world of difference.

HOLY FATHER, IN THE NAME OF JESUS. I PRAY FOR MY COUNTRY, FORGIVE US FAThER THAT WE HAVE MOVED AWAY FROM YOU. WE THINK WE KNOW MORE THAN YOU,AND AS A NATION WE ARE SEEKING OUR ON WAY. DRAW US BACK TO YOU. RAISE UP LEADERS WHO FEAR YOU AND USE YOUR WORD FOR GUIDANCE.CAUSE YOUR PREACHERS EVERYWHERE TO TEACH AND PREACH REPENTANCE AND CALL SIN "SIN". HELPS US AS A CHURCH TO STAND FOR JESUS, LET HIM BE REFLECTED IN EVREYTHING WE DO...TO JESUS BE THE GLORY.AMEN
The Spirtled Woman for this week, I have read before. I enjoyed reading it again. I can be so much like Martha-whom Jesus loved-at times.
Praying is one of the things I love doing, but sometimes with the hussle and bussle of everyday, I don't get on my knees, most of it's done at the ironing board or the kitchen sink or while folding clothes.
This morning though as I brushed my teeth and prepared myself to get my oldest daughter out of the door and to school on time for a change, I heard this song in my spirit-and I remember singing it over 20 years ago in my home church at the time-it just simply says: I once was young but now I'm old, and I've never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread, oh no...You just trust, and believe, what ever you want, you shall receive, what ever you want right now it's yours...You can have faith, the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains, it's according to what you say and believe, what ever you want from the Lord, He'll give it to you...la la la la...
These were all bible verses out of the book of Psalms and Matthew.
I ran in the room and told my husband, surely I thought that was a word for him from the Lord, right? Honey chile, that was for me! As soon as I read "It's Time to Pray" I said to myself, "self, you need to pray and confess the word of God!" It's not what you say sometimes, it's what you don't say. And so here's my prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come boldly to the throne of grace thanking you for your tender mercies. Father have mercy on us and forgive us as a nation for we know not what we do. We repent Lord for turning our eyes and hearts away from you. Draw us near once again. Remove any and everything away from us that is not pleasing in your sight O Lord. Let us now begin to see how crucial it is to love, serve and obey Jesus. I pray for all of those who may be in authority over us, let them base their decisions on your Word, leading and prompting. In Jesus' name. Amen and amen.
I marvel at the Spirit of God and how he speaks to his children no matter where they are! I shared with my husband this morning how tired and overwhelmed I am with all I have to do in the MINISTRY. I went on to tell him that I am not going to say yes to anything more...I need relief and order in my life for I am being pulled in every direction. I praise God for His Word. I prayed this morning asking the Lord to bring His Word to me as I need it and the recounting of the story of Mary and Martha is right on time for me...I am Martha, but I am sitting down now at my Savior feet for I am truly weary and desire rest! Thank you Spiritled Woman!
And now I can pray...
Father in the name of Jesus I lend my voice seeking your forgiveness as a nation of people who are driven by busyness. I confess Lord that we are prideful in our estimation of our ability to get the job done without seeking your direction. We need you Lord to govern our thoughts and meditations; we need you to write plainly the vision for each of our lives. Teach us Lord how to care for one another from your heart. Father I pray for those who are in authority, that they will be men and women of integrity who humbly recognize the trust you have place in them to lead and guide your people. I pray for their hearts to return back to you putting down selfish thinking with humility in seeking your face and power to led this nation back to you. In the powerful and perfect name of Jesus I pray.
God Almighty, let your light shine forth and heal our land as we ask for your forgiveness through yoyr son Jesus Christ. Amen
Heavenly Father, In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, i come boldly to Your throne of grace and i just repent Father, for all of our sins. forgive us Father for all the wicked that has been done and we just stand in the gap Father for this country, for your people and for the nations and for the world. we ask, Lord God that you change our hearts and turn us away from the evil has has taken root in our lives. Let your will be done o God. Have mercy on your people and show us the way to You Lord. In the name of Jesus, we bind up every assignment and curse that satan has against your people Father and we loose, in Jesus name, Your Glory, Love, Peace, wisdom, Knowledge, understanding, fear of you, and boldness to stand up for the truth no matter what the circumstance may be. we love You, honor you, worship and praise you, and we just ask once again Father, for YOUR will to be done and for you to have mercy on us.

we ask you to forgive us for being slack about your word and your promises, have mercy on our soul as a nation and as individuals, Lord we need you as the true Vine to shape us mold us for your use dear Jesus we need you to lead us into the truths of your word and show us how to love as you have said, open our eyes,and our spiritual ears to here what the Spirit of the living GOD has to say to us now and to be obedient to the purpose, call, and plan. Deliver us from our self and heal
this Nation. We also pray for the peace of Jerusalem in the name of Jesus we cover this Nation and the Nation of Isreal in your precious Blood what can wash away our sins nothing but the Blood of Jesus what can make us whole again nothing but the Blood of Jesus oh precious is the flow that makes us white as snow no other fountain I no nothing but the Blood of Jesus.
Lord the begining of Wisdom is the fear of the LORD give us a Holy reverential Fear of you JESUS AMEN, AMEN ,SHALOM

CLEANCE US LORD SO AS TO BE PURE FOR YOUR HOLY SPIRIT TO FIND SHELTER IN US. WE KNOW WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT IS WITHIN US, NOTHING AND I REPEAT NOTHING WILL BEFALL US. FATHER GUIDE US ON WHAT TO DO THINK AND TALK. LEAD US TO WHERE WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. TALK TO EVEN HEART IN THIS WORLD. WE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CREATED US, YOU UNDERSTAND US BETTER THAN WE UNDERSTAND OURSELVES, WE ASK YOU LORD TO CHANGE OUR LIVES, COUNTRY AND EVERYTHING THAT PERTAINS TO US AS YOU HAVE CONTROL OVER OUR LIFES. FORGIVE US FATHER FOR WE HAVE WRONGED YOU IN MANY WAYS. I PRAY AND BELIEVE YOU HAVE HEARD THIS CRY. THANK YOU FATHER FOR EVERYTHING IN JESUS NAME. AMEN
